Action Research Question

In what ways can both peer editing and feedback regarding students' writing benefit students' critical reading and writing skills, as well as foster a supportive learning community,  in the secondary English classroom?

  1. I'll be very interesting in what you find. Being an English/Language Arts teacher myself, I am always looking for ways to have my students peer edit. However, they always seem to read through, or over, all of the mistakes. Spelling, grammar, organization, content... on the editing sheets I have them write on it's as if the paper that person wrote is perfect, until I grade it. Do you have any tips on this? I teach 7th graders, I think you're high school? A little difference in age, but any advice would help!

See you in a few days,

  2. Hi Dusty,

I think you are slawesome. :) Please do not worry about your CIQ assignment. I will offer a suggestion for you for your question. You may want to write something like this: In what ways will peer editing feedback impact students' critical thinking skills in a secondary English classroom?

It is a pleasure having you in our community!
